Donna McKeever  (Hostess/Instructor)

Donna is an experienced rug braider and rug hooker who makes her home in beautiful Gig Harbor, WA. After many years of braiding heirloom quality rugs for her home, family, and friends, she began teaching others and has served as a guest instructor at a variety of events. In her professional career Donna specialized in the development and training of computer courses for business professionals in the corporate world. By combining her love for braiding with her professional experience she has developed structured, easy to learn rug braiding classes and seminars. Creating uniquely shaped rugs, one of a kind braiding projects, multi-strand braids and braided borders for hooked rugs are some of her specialties. Her passion for rug braiding and expanding the art has lead her to hosting this unique national Rug Braiding event.
Donna's rugs have been featured in multiple publications including: "The Braided Rug Book" by Norma Sturges, Westsound Home and Garden Magazine, and various newspapers in the Washington area.

Kathy McMillen (Guest Instructor)
Kathy is an experienced rug braider. She was born and raised in southern California where she and her husband also raised two daughters. Upon retirement her family moved to Gig Harbor, WA were she was introduced to braiding and fell in love with the craft. Kathy has a wonderful eye for color,
is very detail oriented and enjoys using her background in mathematics to help her color plan her rugs. She has perfected her braiding techniques from the simplest to very advanced and has mastered the craft. Her
​pleasant and fun personality, and her precision and attention to details makes her a wonderful choice as guest Instructor.
