CLASSES have a teacher who will present specific topics through

the use of PowerPoint presentations and/or handouts, demonstrations

and hands-on time.
   Types of Classes Offered:

   (Subject to change depending on attendee preferences):
     * Beginning Rug Braiding (braiding, lacing, ending with taper/rattail)
     * Rugs with corners
     * Butting

     * Braided Shapes and 3D braided projects

            (i.e., baskets, Christmas trees, balls, pumpkin, corn, lazy Susan, etc.)
     * Multi-Strand Braiding  
     * Braided Borders on Hooked Rugs  
     * Fancy Borders - Picot/Lacy Edge  
     * Pattern within Rugs (lining up braids/tones to create a pattern within the rug)  
     * Unique Braid Designs 

  

WORKSHOP is work/sharing time with attendees learning from each other in a social atmosphere

DISCUSSION GROUPS are for those interested in talking about specific rug braiding topics.
Possible Discussion Topics (Based on attendee preferences):  
   * Planning a Rug (Color plans, designs, patterns)
   * Selling and Marketing your Rugs
   * Teaching Rug Braiding (How to get started, teaching an effective and fun class)
   * Braiding tools and Materials
   * Attendee demonstrations and discussions on unique braiding projects

The days are planned to accommodate braiders of ALL skill levels, from those who want to learn beginning skills to those who are more experienced and would like to share their knowledge.
