The days are planned to accommodate braiders of ALL skill levels, from those who want to learn beginning skills to those who are more experienced and would like to share their knowledge.
 

CLASSES have a teacher and specific topic, with sign-ups in advance. Types of Classes Offered:    * Beginning Rug Braiding (braiding, lacing, ending with taper/rattail)    * Rectangle rugs (rugs with corners)    * Butting    * Braided Shapes and 3D    * Multi-Strand Braiding    * Braided Borders on Hooked Rugs

WORKSHOP is work/sharing time with attendees learning from each other in a social atmosphere

DISCUSSION GROUPS are for those interested in talking about specific rug braiding topics.
Discussion Topics (Subject to change based on attendee preferences):
   * Braiding Tools and Materials
   * Selling and Marketing your Rugs
   * Teaching Rug Braiding (How to get started, teaching an effective and fun class)
   * Planning a Rug (Color plans, designs, patterns)
   * Dyeing Fabrics
   * Promoting Rug Braiding (Future Conferences, regional gatherings, guilds, newsletter)

Please note that extended lunch breaks have been scheduled each day to allow for braiding, resting, shopping, or visiting the village of Gig Harbor.
